Hey, junkies. Um, Sean. I was listening to like the tax conversation and yesterday's episode and uh yeah. You know, the rich pay their taxes, whatever. Uh, my biggest thing is like the corporate taxes. So you look at these companies like, Walmart McDonald's. Other ones that are at the top of these lists of the highest number of people on welfare, then you take all the tax breaks, they get for a quote unquote creating jobs, but most of the jobs they create are, you know, part-time so they don't have to pay benefits. And in some places, pay the 725 national minimum wage, uh, I just don't understand how that is able to continue. Um, to me, that's 1 of the biggest ways that we could snap up a bunch of tax revenue. On top of setting up a metrics for churches, if they're not meeting level of service based on these metrics, then those churches need to be taxed too because part of their tax breaks, come from the idea, That they're helping the community and they're doing better. I feel that if you did corporate and church taxes that that would actually snap up a lot of money that were missing out on and could bring relief to the middle and lower classes. Anyways, that's just my 2 cents, have a great day.
Hi junkies, I'm a finance director, for a nonprofit in New Hampshire and we were awarded 2.136 million dollars uh from HUD last month. So obviously, with the grants yesterday, it was a huge deal uh which was luck.
I think a good way of checking prices is maybe coffee. Because we import most of it or probably all of it. And when I started buying the kind, I use it was like 6.99 a can and it is up to 1499 a can in 4 years. So yeah.
What up junkie butt? Hey I've done some extensive research on this reporter, eating the taco, live on air and Sean. You think it's a crunchy taco and I cannot say that you are 100% wrong. But what I can say is you are absolutely wrong. Sorry.
Yes, cigars and pipes have always enjoyed an exclusion of uh, cigarette stuff and vaping stuff. Uh, when they put all those taxes on cigarettes, didn't do the same with cigars or pipes. Matter of fact, certain people were going and getting loose pipe tobacco and rolling their own cigarettes, because it was so much cheaper. I have a feeling that has to do with You have more affluent and influential people smoking ten dollar cigars and uh, they like them. Like you said, the decision makers are also cigars
The only reason I could think that cigars would get a, you know, exception is because they're completely biodegradable. Unless it's like a Like a switcher or whatever. That would be, the only reason I could justify them being like, okay, cigars are cool. Anyway, just my 2 cents, cheap, dog out
Good Afternoon, News Junkies you guys are talking about the uh, Super Bowl commercials and you know how much they cost and just you know, saying oh I got the money to do it. I was thinking, you know, maybe the reason they're spending all this money on these commercials and stuff is Because it is a tax write-off for advertising for their business. So, They have to, you know, spend x amount of money every year. So they don't have to pay a ton of taxes so I'm thinking like they're probably like yeah. Why not buy these 8 million commercials because hey we're going to ride it off on our taxes at the end of the year and it'll save us money and pretty much be a free commercial. Anyway, that's my 2 cents on it possibly could be wrong. You know, Google told me that it was a tax write-off but you never know what this internet nowadays. Anyway, I love the show guys. Wiggle wiggle.
