The reason you can't say something to a pet owner about their pet being fat, is because sometimes people rescue pets from Bad situations. For example, I do a lot of English, Bulldog Rescues and a lot of the English Bulldogs that I rescue have had multiple litters of puppies. Therefore their bodies are blown out and generally most of the time afterwards, people who meal puppies, just trough feed the animals afterwards. So they just get larger and larger and there's no sense of concern because the machine no longer spits out babies. That's why it's not really appropriate to say things to people about their pets being fat. Because, you know, don't know necessarily what the circumstances are that made that animal that large, and the person you're talking to might be trying to rescue or help the animal.
