My daughter has Tourette’s and these are my thoughts do what you will with them

Hey news, junkies listening in yesterday on the podcast and uh, wanted to put in my 2 cents, my daughter has Tourette's. She was diagnosed at 4, she's 16 now, um, to be diagnosed with Tourette's since there's no blood test or anything like that. Um, you have to display a verbal and a motor tick for at least 1 year, um, and the neurologist diagnosed her, and for her, the verbal tic was more of a sniffing snorting and a squeal. Um, it's for like, quite adorable. It's like, like I can't even do it as high as she does it and it's not noticeable. Like, she's, I don't know. She, she masks her ticks real well now that she's older when she was little kids are just Wiggly and nobody really noticed, like her ticks aren't super pronounced. Um, the swearing is called cop copia and it's only 10% of people with Tourette's have that, but Hollywood loves to play that up. And I'm not going to say that this girl is real or not real it stresses my daughter out so we can't watch it. Um but uh, when you I have a, a graph about Tourette's and it shows like um an iceberg and the top part is the ticks that people see and then there's all this other stuff under the water. Like we've dealt more with some learning learning disabilities, some uh OCD rage. There's all this other stuff that compounded with it. That is just so much worse than the ticks. The ticks have never been that big a deal. So um, yeah, that's all I wanted to say. I hope you all have a great. I have Friday Saturday Sunday, whenever you get this or if you ever actually listened to it because you never listen to mine. That's fine. I'm okay. It's not a big deal. Um, Hakuna maca
