When it comes to landlines, I have quite a bit of experience in this area. We had to have 1 for my mother-in-law because she would only answer aligned phone when she was alive. Uh, we got rid of it about 6 months ago, and the advantage to having a direct wired analog line that goes all the way back to the office. Is that during a hurricane? You don't lose phone service because it's powered all the way from the office. However, that landline was very expensive. It was eighty dollars a month for 1 land line. And they just came through our neighborhood recently, right after we shut it off and they converting everything to fiber optic, you can still get a landline but it's not analog, it's fiber optic. And when the batteries on the backup station, run out, you got no phone, so there you go.
