even the US military does not have a fully automatic machine gun in this platform anymore. the M16 A2 and the M4 have 3 selections.... safe, semi (one round per trigger pull) and 3 round burst (3 rounds per trigger pull). being a vet, 3 round burst is rarely if ever used due to diminished accuracy and rate at which you use your rounds. a combat load is 210 rounds (7 30 round magazines
